Ai went through many fake fathers and other family members before Scout turned up. She didn't really expect him to last long. However he's been here for a long time and she's grown used to him. He tries to act as a father sometimes which his odd for both of them, but she's come to see him as a father figure now.

He taught her how to play baseball. Bought her a puppy for Christmas and she's drawn him pictures. She is very defensive of him.
